The SAMI A frequency converter was launched to the market in 1976 and remained in production until 1981. Total amount of 1600 units were delivered worldwide, mostly in the Europe. Production of SAMI A product ceased in 1981 when the it was replaced with SAMI B series frequency converters.
The SAMI B frequency converter was launched to the market in 1981 and remained in production until 1987. Total amount of 3700 units were delivered worldwide, mostly in the Europe. The SAMI B product was replaced by the SAMI STAR frequency converter in 1987. Production of the SAMI STAR product ceased in 1998 when it was replaced with the ACS600 series, now upgraded to the ABB industrial drive, the ACS800 family of frequency converters.
SAMI C Drives
The SAMI C frequency converter was launched to the market in 1982 and remained in production until 1987. Total amount of 7500 units were delivered worldwide, mostly in the Europe. The SAMI C product was replaced by the SAMI MINISTAR frequency converter in 1987. The SAMI MINISTAR product was replaced by the ACS 500 frequency converter in 1992.
