Wessex Water standardises on the MultiSmart Pump Station Manager for all sewage pump stations
Wessex Water, providing water and sewerage to over 2.5 million customers within the south west region of England, has standardised on the MultiSmart pump station manager for all sewage pump stations.

April 17, 2009 -- MultiTrode, the specialist in lift station and pump station technology for water and wastewater utilities, opened up operations in the UK in May 2008. The MultiSmart Pump Station Manager has been quickly recognised by the UK water industry as the next generation of technology, providing major benefits in energy efficiency, operations cost and asset management in one unique package. This includes the most advanced predictive maintenance and remote control capability on the market.



Wessex Water is the regional water and sewage treatment business serving an area of the south west of England, covering 10,000 square kilometres including Dorset, Somerset, Bristol, most of Wiltshire and parts of Gloucestershire and Hampshire. The sewage system includes 1500 pump stations and 400 sewage treatment works.

Wessex Water is recognised by the water industry regulator, Ofwat, as the most efficient operator in England and Wales.

Wessex, in conjunction with Bridges Electrical Engineers of Bath, England, have designed a new form 4 switchboard called the "Wessex 100" with the MultiSmart at its core. This switchboard is already attracting attention from other water companies across the UK because it delivers everything the water companies have been trying to do in a neat, low profile package. It has been specifically designed to make the most of MultiSmart's advanced functionality while supporting its ease of use and low technical maintenance requirements.
