ABB and Severn Trent Win Award
ABB and Severn Trent Water awarded for Best Environmental Initiative of the Year 2006-10-06 - ABB and Severn Trent Water have won the Electrical Industry Awards 2006 for Best Environmental Initiative of the Year, following an installation that reduced energy consumption by over £12,000 per annum at Severn Trents Wanlip Sewage Treatment Works in Leicestershire. This is the second year running that ABB wins the environmental prize at the Electrical Industry Awards. Last year, the company claimed the prize for its replacement drives scheme, which aims to assess, replace and recycle variable speed drives from any manufacturer, improving reliability and energy efficiency. |

Today Severn Trent Water commemorated the recent success in winning the prestigious Best Environmental Initiative of the Year presented at the Electrical Industry Awards 2006
Working with STW Energy team, Sentridge Control has worked with other members of the DrivesAdvantage team in supporting the delivery of the ABB Drive products locally to Severn Trent Water and to make the Energy saving programme come to life. |
