Glen Hickman, our Technical Director,  spent last week in Helsinki as part of the ABB Expert Day programme, which brings together key ABB experts from around the world to share ideas and be brought up to date with the latest ABB Drive and Motor developments. This is a great opportunity to experience at first hand the world class design and manufacturing facilities in Helsinki.

The purpose of this visit was to demonstrate the product range and support systems that are in place and available from ABB and how these can be tailored to suit the needs our clients ensuring maximum performance, reliability and efficiency.

Delegates were also given a tour of the Inverter assembly and test line and saw first hand the extensive testing each variable speed drive is put through. In fact all ABB drives are 100% load and thermally tested.

ABB is very proud of its engineering heritage and has a huge commitment to quality and performance of the products that work for us all day every day. They employ over 400 men in white coats in their R & D section alone!
